November 24’s Grand Theft Impro and Enemies will see an array of talent take to the stage the like of which will never be seen again.

The Free Association will lend us one of their Harold Teams*, THE 838 – Tom Levinge, Simon Lukacs, Freddie Sandilands, Ivan Gonzalez, Shivani Thussu, Clare Plested, Alison Thea-Skot and Nathalie Antonia.

Then Grand Theft Impro welcomes two of the finest guests money** can buy…

Lee Simpson – Lee is many people’s favourite improviser – including many who are themselves extremely good at impro. Founder member of Improbable Theatre, Comedy Store Player for 25 years, member of Paul Merton’s Impro Chums, Lee has improvised on TV in Whose Line is it Anyway? and on the radio in The Masterson Inheritance, which he co-devised. Lee is great.

The Independent called Rachel Parris a Bright Young Thing for comedy in 2014. She was nominated for a Chortle award and was one of the Huffington Post’s Funniest 50 Women on Twitter. She was runner-up in the Funny Women Awards and the Musical Comedy Awards. For a brief time, the word “award” was absorbed into her name. She is a founder member of the award-winning Austentatious. She’s been in Count Arthur Strong, Murder in Successville and The IT Crowd. She presented Game of Thrones fanshow, Thronecast. Fanshow is a word.

Not coming to this show will send a strong message to the rest of Europe that we are a nation of philistines who play not well with others. Is that what you want?

Hope to see you there!

* Not to be confused with Harold Teams, the inventor of the “click click” noise you use to encourage horses to move, the use of which pays a small royalty to his heirs every time it occurs. A Harold Team is a team that plays an ancient and mysterious form of impro – impossible to teach or learn – called The Harold, the origins of which are thought to date back to the Old Testament.

** Or cash-equivalent amount of back-rubs.
