Grand Theft Impro will take to the stage in the form of Phil Whelans, Susan HarrisonAlan Marriott and Jessie Rutland.

For an idea of how this will look, the same people who did the movie of “Cats” have created a composite of all four performers (see image.)

The show will be one long continuous performance, courtesy of the people who made “1917.”

GTI will be sharing the bill with Speechless, thanks to the people who made “The Artist.”

Why not come down? It’ll be fun.

Phil Whelans – writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover – with whom he did two series of Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth.  Phil has been in It’s Kevin, BrasseyePreston Front and a number of unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots. He has appeared in Showstopper: the Improvised Musical and is a Monkey Toast player.

Alan Marriott – Alan is a voice-over maestro whose larynx has graced animation series like Bob the BuilderThe Secret ShowPirates and AliensLego Nexo KnightsLego Star WarsMy Little PonyGeronimo Stilton and many more; films including Asterix – The Mansions of the GodsPlanet 51Boo-Zino and the Snurks and most recently, Norm of the North 2 AND video games like Jumping FlashDead Rising 2Skate 2Hot Wheels – Stunt Track ChallengeHead Hunter –Redemption, Space Channel 5 and many more. He was in The Reduced Shakespeare Company, brought Theatresports  to London and devised or co-devised Hamlet ImprovisedThe Impro Musical and Impropera.

She’s taken five Character Comedy shows to the Edinburgh Fringe (one of which, Creatures, won a Three Weeks Editor’s Choice Award. She was a series regular on BAFTA nominated CBBC sketch show DNN.

Jessie Rutland is a member of Hoopla Impro’s original house team ‘Gämez’, as well as ‘Hat Trick: The Improvised Sketch Show’. Previously she has performed in interactive stage shows ‘The Improvised Crystal Maze’ and ‘Fungeons & Dragons’. Jessie has trained with Hoopla, The Maydays, Lee Simpson, Showstopper and Patti Stiles.
