Grand Theft Impro

Dylan Emery is co-founder of Edinburgh, West End and Radio 4 Impro Hit The Showstoppers and Ken Campbell-inspired hard-bardics masterclass, the School of Night. Like an online Noah, building a virtual ark out of zeros and ones, Dylan's Crunchy Frog Collective website brings all of the U.K.'s impro under one worldwide roof.

Charlotte Gittins - Charlotte is a veteran improviser, a member of the smash hit show Austentatious, a Monkey Toast player and has a two-person impro show (a Twoprov show), Folie á Deux, with the delightful Andrew Murray. She regularly takes part in the Annual London 50-hr Improvathon.

Phil Whelans - writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover - with whom he did two series of Radio 4's The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth. Phil has been in It's Kevin, Brasseye, Preston Front and a number of unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots. He has appeared in Showstopper: the Improvised Musical and is a Monkey Toast player.

Upcoming guests

18 February

Ruth Bratt - Star of The Showstoppers, Ricky Gervais's Derek, Fast and Loose, Mongrels and two series of her own BBC Radio 4 show, Trodd en Bratt say Well Done You.

25 February

The Independent called Rachel Parris a Bright Young Thing for comedy in 2014. She was nominated for a Chortle award and was one of the Huffington Post’s Funniest 50 Women on Twitter. She was runner-up in the Funny Women Awards and the Musical Comedy Awards. For a brief time, the word "award" was absorbed into her name. She is a founder member of the award-winning Austentatious. She was Roy’s girlfriend in the recent IT Crowd Special and she presented Game of Thrones fanshow, Thronecast. Fanshow is a word.

03 March

David Reed One third of monster hit sketch team The Penny Dreadfuls (two Radio 4 series and several one-offs), David has been on TV in such shows as Gary: Tank Commander, Fast and Loose, It's Kevin (which Phil was in too) and Father Figure.

Phil Pellew is one of the stars of the hit impro show The Showstoppers (7 years of selling out at the Edinburgh Festival, 4 West End runs, and a BBC Radio 4 series.) He's been a member of the David Glass Ensemble and the Ninagawa Company and, like Kate Bush and David Bowie, he’s worked with Lindsay Kemp. In most other respects, he is not like Kate Bush and David Bowie. He’s a master of physical theatre, a stuntman and a stage combat specialist. All the things you need in a comedy show.
